Western Ag Labs helps farmers by "Getting to the Root of Crop Nutrition." The patented Plant Root Simulator (PRS) technology is the centerpiece of this service for soil resource management. The PRS-probe recognizes the supply of soil nutrients in the same way a plant would. The Synergy Award winning technology is used as a plant would. This Synergy Award winning technology is used as initialize calculations in a powerful computer tool know as the PRS Nutrient Forecaster. The PRS Nutrient Forecaster integrates soil's nutrient supply with the farmers crop choices, climate, soil and economic constraints to render a field yield and economic return that can be optimized by the farmer. By delivering this knowledge-based service to growers, Western Ag Labs has had a positive economic impact in Western Canada of over $100 million dollars since 1998.
